Business Analyst (Entry-Level / Junior)

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Business Analyst (Entry-Level / Junior) to join our team in Australia.
The successful candidate will support business analysis, data interpretation, process improvement, reporting, requirements gathering, and cross-functional projects to help the organization improve operational efficiency and business performance.
This position is suitable for recent graduates, university graduates, and early-career professionals who are looking to develop practical experience in business analysis, data-driven decision-making, process improvement, and business operations.
You will work closely with business teams, stakeholders, and experienced analysts to understand business needs, analyze information, identify improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements from internal stakeholders.
- Assist with analyzing business processes, workflows, and operational performance.
- Collect, organize, and analyze business and operational data.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc business reports and analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business performance metrics.
- Identify trends, patterns, inefficiencies, and potential improvement opportunities.
- Assist with process mapping and workflow documentation.
- Support business-process improvement and optimization initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into clear documentation and actionable tasks.
- Assist with preparing business cases, presentations, and project documentation.
- Support project teams with data analysis and business insights.
- Validate data and investigate discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Develop and maintain Excel reports, dashboards, and analytical spreadsheets.
- Assist with dashboard and visualization development using appropriate reporting tools.
- Work with Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing,
Technology, and other departments.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and process implementation activities where required.
- Assist with documenting procedures, requirements, workflows, and project outcomes.
- Conduct basic market, competitor, and business-performance research.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Support continuous-improvement and automation initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of analysis, requirements, and project documentation.
- Perform other business-analysis and reporting duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science , or a related field.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with limited professional experience are welcome to apply.
- Internship,
university project, or practical experience involving business analysis or process improvement is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel , including formulas, lookups, sorting, filtering, and PivotTables.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other business-intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with business-process mapping or requirements documentation is an advantage.
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, or other business systems is a plus.
- Relevant business-analysis, data-analysis, or project-management certifications are welcome but not mandatory.
