Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Adelaide, SA. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and expanding the company’s presence across civil and earthworks projects in South Australia. Day-to-day tasks include researching target markets, preparing and presenting proposals, coordinating tenders, and working closely with operational teams to align bids with project delivery capabilities.
The role also involves maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects,
attending client meetings and site visits, representing the company at industry events, and providing regular reporting on sales performance and market trends.
The Business Development
Manager will actively promote the company’s services, uphold its reputation for quality and reliability, and contribute to long-term growth st rategies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong business development, sales, and client relationship management skills, ideally within construction, earthmoving, or civil infrastructure sectors.
- Candidates should possess skills in market research, chance analysis, and strategic planning to identify and prioritize high-potential projects and partnerships.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels and secure new contracts.
- Candidates should possess organizational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage pipelines, prepare tenders, and collaborate with site and office teams.
- Relevant qualifications in business, marketing, civil engineering, or a related field are beneficial, along with proven experience in a similar role and a sound understanding of the South Australian construction market.
- Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, strong digital literacy (CRM and MS Office tools), and a commitment to safety, ethical conduct, and long-term client partnerships.
