Business Development Manager for project pursuit in emerging markets.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the Sales Department. Endress+Hauser Australia and New Zealand is made up of over 130 dedicated employees across both countries, with our national office located in Sydney, Australia.
Applicants from the east coast will be considered.
However
Melbourne or Sydney-based candidates are preferred.

As a Business Development Manager, you will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders while developing new market opportunities.
Your role will be key to driving growth and sales within priority emerging markets, making you an important part of our team.
Which tasks will you perform?
- Regular customer interactions via face-to-face meetings and phone calls.
- Use C-360 (Salesforce) to review and maintain customer and project data in SFDC, opportunities, stakeholder maps, qualified value and agreed next actions.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders on allocated emerging market projects across ANZ, and manage the project opportunity sales function
- Develop current customers and routes to market across emerging market project owners, end users, designers, consultants, head contractors, contractors, system integrators, OEMs and package-equipment vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of product range, with technical understanding of features and benefits, tailored to industry needs.
- Strong understanding of market trends and industry sectors to identify new opportunities.
- Attend relevant industry meetings, customer workshops, events and seminars, as approved.
What do we expect from you?
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in electrical and/or instrumentation disciplines from certificate to degree level.
- English proficiency in verbal, written and intrapersonal situations is a pre-requisite for this role.
- Have previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of business development.
- Instrumentation experience and product knowledge, preferably Endress+Hauser.
- Ability to develop and successfully implement account plans, forecasts, reports and call plans.
- Ability to learn and communicate industrial instrumentation applications that are fit for purpose depending on the market segment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to make good commercial decisions and to think outside the box.
- Computer literacy with working knowledge in all MS Office application and C-360 (Salesforce CRM)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks to completion.
- Provide exceptional customer service, both internally and externally.
- Are a team player who can collaborate effectively with others across departments.
- Able to confidently present in group settings.
- Melbourne or Sydney-based candidates are preferred, although applications from all East Coast candidates will also be considered.
