The company you'll join This is a well-established Australian manufacturer and compounder of engineering thermoplastics, supplying customers who mould and extrude plastic components across Australia and into export markets.

The business has built its reputation on technical credibility and long-standing customer relationships, helping manufacturers select and specify the right material for performance, processing and cost.

It offers both off-the-shelf grades and customised compound formulations, backed by genuine in-house technical knowledge rather than a catalogue-and-price model.

Australian-owned and manufacturing locally for close to three decades, the company is the largest player in its space in the domestic market.

It has recently returned to hands-on private ownership, run by local management with a clear long-term plan for the business, including expansion into offshore markets.

The team is small, close-knit and low on red tape, the kind of business where what you do is visible and decisions don't get lost in layers.

Queensland is the market where the business is currently least represented against its competitors, which means a higher share is genuinely there to be won.

With manufacturing activity increasingly shifting north, the company is ready to put a dedicated person on the ground in Queensland for the first time to build on that opportunity.

You'll be joining a secure, owner-led business with a respected product range, deep technical substance behind it, and significant seniority in the team to support you as you get up to speed.

The impact you'll make

This is an individual-contributor territory sales role, owning the full Queensland patch as the company's first dedicated person on the ground in the state.

You'll take over an existing base of Queensland accounts currently serviced from head office, then build on it, a rare chance to grow real market share rather than simply maintain a book.

You'll sell a technical, solution-led product into injection moulders and extruders, helping customers choose the right engineering polymer and solve problems around performance, processing and cost.

The role is relationship-driven and consultative; success comes from understanding the customer's application and the material, managing margins and retention, and working with customers on new projects.

Being in front of your customers every day is the whole point of the role, so you'll have the autonomy to run Queensland as your own and the runway to grow it over the long term.

You'll be based in Queensland, with structured training and ongoing technical support from an experienced Sydney-based head office team while you build deep product knowledge.

The experience you'll bring

Experience selling technical materials, plastics, polymers, resins, masterbatch, compounds or an allied material where the sale depends on understanding the product; the specific segment matters less than your ability to grasp and communicate a technical solution.

A technical mind and a genuine appetite to learn a deep product range; knowing every grade on day one matters far less than the ability to pick it up.

Existing relationships across Queensland manufacturing, moulding or extrusion customers are an advantage, along with a track record of building relationships that last.

The self-motivation to work autonomously from Queensland while staying closely connected to a Sydney head office, and the drive to grow an under-served territory.

A fit with a small, owner-led, low-ego business where you're trusted to run your own patch.

On offer is an attractive base salary, commission, and a fully maintained company vehicle. Interviewing now!
