Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Adelaide, SA. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with construction, civil, and industrial clients, and promoting Titan Machinery Hire’s earthmoving fleet and hire solutions. Day-to-day tasks include generating leads, conducting client meetings and site visits, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating hire agreements.

Manager collaborates with operations and fleet teams to ensure availability, pricing accuracy, and service quality, while monitoring market trends and competitor activity.



The role also involves maintaining CRM records, forecasting sales, and contributing to marketing activities that support growth and brand awareness.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within equipment hire, construction, or related industries.
- Strong skills in relationship building, client communication, and negotiation to develop long-term partnerships and close deals.
- Ability to identify market opportunities, develop sales strategies, and manage pipelines using CRM or similar tools.
- Solid commercial acumen with capability to prepare quotes, interpret pricing structures, and meet revenue and margin targets.
- Knowledge of earthmoving machinery or industrial equipment hire operations is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations) and comfort working with digital sales and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple prospects and accounts concurrently.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to conduct on-site client visits across the Adelaide region and surrounding areas.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
