Carpenter (Year-Round)
Location: The Station & Perisher Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Remuneration: $75,127.81 + 12% Super + Overtime

Join Perisher's Civil and Building Team as a Carpenter and help maintain, repair, refurbish, and improve the buildings, guest facilities, and infrastructure that keep our resorts operating year-round. Two Carpenter positions are available, one at The Station and one at Perisher. Both roles offer varied carpentry, construction, and maintenance work in a unique alpine environment. The Station position will participate in an on-call roster during winter, supporting reactive maintenance and operational requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete carpentry, construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and renovation works
- Undertake preventative and reactive maintenance across resort buildings and infrastructure
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Repair and replace building components including doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and fittings
- Complete minor construction and project works
- Source materials and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Safely operate and maintain tools, plant, equipment, and machinery
- Respond to maintenance requests and identify and rectify defects and safety hazards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Work collaboratively with trades, contractors, and resort departments
- Support operational requirements including snow clearing and emergency response
What We’re Looking For
- Trade qualification in Carpentry or relevant Building Trade, or equivalent experience
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Demonstrated carpentry, construction, or building maintenance experience
- Strong practical trade and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work in changing alpine conditions
Desirable Experience
- Remote or alpine work experience
- EWP and/or Working at Heights certification
- Forklift licence
- First Aid certification
- Experience with maintenance management systems
