Role Description This part-time Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role is a hybrid position based anywhere in Australia. The CTO will define and lead the overall technology vision, aligning IT strategy with business objectives and ensuring that architecture, platforms, and tools support growth and scalability.

We have a currently agreed pre-production valuation of over $5m and this role will be an equity-only position (until revenue is delivered) of 10% equity. So highly lucrative for the right person, willing to support the next phase of growth and GTM readiness.

Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing software and product development teams, guiding technical design decisions, and establishing best practices for security, reliability, and performance.

The role also involves managing key technology projects,



prioritizing initiatives, and collaborating with senior leadership on roadmap planning and budgeting. The CTO will mentor technical talent, evaluate new technologies, and build partnerships with external vendors and stakeholders to advance the organization’s digital capabilities.

Qualifications

- Strong background in Software Development, with experience leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Online Gaming, Sportsbook, Fantasy Games experience highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, prioritizing, and executing technology initiatives within time and budget constraints.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT Strategy and Technology Leadership, aligning technical direction with business goals and growth plans.
- Experience in Systems and Solution Architecture, designing robust, secure, and maintainable platforms and infrastructures.
- Proven track record in Product Development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and bring digital products to market.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business language.
- Experience in a hybrid work environment and the ability to lead distributed teams effectively.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with contemporary cloud platforms, cybersecurity practices, and agile methodologies is highly beneficial.
