Role Description
We are seeking a Fauna Spotter Catcher with previous experience and the ability to work DIDO and locally on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.
As a Fauna Spotter Catcher, you will be responsible for pre-clearance habitat and fauna surveys, animal breeding place surveys, onsite fauna detection, catching, identification, and relocation, dewatering and aquatic fauna management, native bee hive relocation, and data recording.
Essential Requirements
- Experience undertaking Fauna Spotter Catcher work.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Drivers Licence.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Venomous Snake Handling Certificate.
- Lyssavirus vaccinated (or willing to obtain).
- Confident fauna handling and ID skills.
- Confident and competent in handling and relocating fauna.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to be self-managed, self-motivated, work autonomously as well as in a team environment and have a strong work ethic.
- Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Animal Ecology, Zoology or other related discipline.
- Fauna Handling Certificate.
- 4WD Certificate.
- ISI Gas induction.
- Standard 11 generic induction.
- QLD coal board medical.
- Cat 3 rail medical.
