The Position
The Visitor Economy Partner plays a key role in growing and supporting the Albury Wodonga visitor economy through strategic industry partnerships, commercial program delivery, digital destination presence and visitor servicing. The position has a direct commercial focus, contributing to Council revenue generation, partner retention and the financial sustainability of tourism programs through the effective management and growth of the Albury Wodonga Tourism Partner Program.

Tasks and responsibilities

- Plan, manage and deliver the Albury Wodonga Tourism Partner Program, including annual sales campaigns, partner onboarding, fulfilment of inclusions, familiarisations and ongoing relationship management.
- Generate and manage program revenue, monitor performance against agreed financial and participation targets, and ensure value for money and compliance with Council financial requirements.
- Maintain and enhance strong working relationships with approximately 120 tourism partners, industry stakeholders, regional and state tourism bodies, and Wodonga Council.
- Contribute to delivery of the Albury Wodonga Destination Management Plan and Tourism Partnership Agreement through coordinated programs, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage and maintain the Visit Albury Wodonga website and associated destination listings, ensuring accuracy, relevance and alignment with brand standards.

Qualifications and experience





- Tertiary qualification in Tourism / Marketing or a related discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience.
- Current Class C (Standard) Driver’s Licence.
- Considerable practical experience working in tourism, destination marketing or a related environment.
- Considerable practical experience in business development, partnership management and sales negotiation.

Hours
Based on a 35-hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines.
