Role Description This full-time, on-site Commercial Litigation Lawyer role is based in Melbourne, VIC. The role involves managing a caseload of commercial disputes, including drafting and reviewing pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, and commercial contracts. The lawyer will provide clear, strategic legal advice to clients, conduct legal research, prepare for and appear at court hearings and mediations, and engage in negotiations and settlement discussions.

Day-to-day responsibilities also include liaising with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders, advising on risk and data privacy considerations, and contributing to firm-wide knowledge sharing and practice development. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to deliver timely, high-quality legal services.





Qualifications & Skills

- Strong foundation in Law, including commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency in Commercial Contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual terms.
- Ability to identify, analyse, and manage Legal Issues in complex commercial matters.
- Experience providing transparent, practical Legal Advice to business clients and stakeholders.
- Understanding of Data Privacy and related regulatory obligations relevant to commercial practice.
- Admission to practice as a lawyer in Victoria and a current Australian practicing certificate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong advocacy and negotiation abilities.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Experience in commercial litigation within a law firm is highly regarded.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client service, and ongoing professional development.

What We're Looking For

- Requirements: LLB or JD, Victorian PC, admission to the SCV & HCA, completion of 2 years supervised legal practice
