Role:
Join Coastal Abilities as a Community Support Worker and make a genuine difference in the lives of people with disabilities. You’ll provide person-centred support that builds independence, confidence and choice, helping participants live safely, achieve their goals and enjoy meaningful connections within their community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support in participants' homes and within the community.
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, domestic tasks, and medication support.
- Supporting participants to achieve their goals and build independence.
- Following support plans, behaviour support strategies, and risk management plans.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development.
This role includes a variety of shifts, including afternoons, weekends, sleepovers, and active night shifts. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ACTIVE NIGHT SHIFTS IF YOU APPLY FOR THIS ROLE.

Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in disability support, aged care, community services, or a genuine passion for helping others.
- Experience supporting people with complex behaviours and medical needs (preferred).
- Current Driver Licence.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
