We are seeking a talented and versatile Designer to join our growing team and help bring our clients' ideas to life.

The Opportunity

As a Designer at Moreton Hire, you will be responsible for developing creative and practical design solutions across a diverse range of projects, including:

- Exhibitions and trade shows
- Custom exhibition stands
- Corporate displays and brand activations
- Conferences and major events
- Temporary structures and event precincts
- Modular healthcare facilities
- Modular education and commercial projects
- Temporary and permanent infrastructure solutions

This role combines creativity with technical expertise, requiring strong visualisation skills alongside the ability to prepare accurate production and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Concept Development

- Develop innovative design concepts and presentations for clients.
- Create 2D and 3D visualisations, renderings and presentation material.
- Prepare exhibition stand, activation and event designs aligned with client objectives and brand guidelines.




- Assist with tender submissions and design proposals.

Technical Documentation

- Produce accurate construction and production drawings.
- Prepare layouts, floorplans, elevations, sections and detailing.
- Generate documentation suitable for fabrication, installation and construction teams.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and project requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

- Participate in client meetings and design briefings.
- Present concepts and design recommendations.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, estimators and operational staff.
- Support clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Coordination

- Work closely with internal production, estimating and delivery teams.
- Coordinate revisions and manage design changes.
- Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and deliverable.
- Assist with site inspections and project handovers where required.

Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed on design trends, materials, technology and construction methods.
- Contribute ideas to improve design processes and efficiency.
- Support the development of standard design systems and reusable assets.

Skills & Experience

Essential

- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong experience using SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Blender or similar 3D design software.




- Experience creating high-quality renders and client presentations.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Desirable
- Experience in exhibitions, events, temporary structures or modular construction.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of building codes, exhibition regulations and event infrastructure.
- Experience preparing tender documentation.
- Revit modelling experience.
- Knowledge of modular building systems.
