These are 12-month fixed-term, full time positions (with the possibility of extension or permanency)

The South Coast Region extends 1,200 km from Denmark to the South Australian border and includes 14 national parks and 150 nature reserves covering 2.5 million hectares plus 7 million hectares of unallocated Crown land (UCL). National parks include Torndirrup, Porongurup, Stirling Range, Fitzgerald River, West Cape Howe, Gull Rock, Waychinicup, Stokes, Cape Le Grand, and Cape Arid.

The South Coast Region’s key service deliverables include nature conservation, parks and visitor services and fire management.

We currently have opportunities for two Technical Officers (Adaptive Ecosystem and Threatened Fauna Management) (AETFM) to join our team.

Under the immediate supervision of the Conservation Operations Officer (AETFM),



these positions assist with providing technical support for the delivery of ecosystem management operations throughout the Albany District and South Coast Region, including:

- Noisy Scrub-bird, Western Ground Parrot and Gilbert’s Potoroo recovery programs;
- threat abatement and monitoring activities across priority landscapes; and
- integrated invasive predator management.

Note: This role requires the use of firearms and involves remote and extended fieldwork.

The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current Working With Children Check and a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
