Site Manager Required | Commercial & Architectural Joinery | Projects Sydney-Wide | Full-Time & Permanent | $120K – $140K + Super + Vehicle
The Opportunity
An established and highly regarded commercial and architectural joinery business is expanding its Sydney operations and is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, Project Supervisor, Senior Site Supervisor or Foreman with a strong background in commercial joinery, architectural joinery, shopfitting or commercial interiors.
You will be responsible for the overall site delivery of larger-scale commercial joinery projects, managing larger site teams, subcontractors and multiple trades to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Working across a variety of high-quality commercial and architectural joinery projects throughout Sydney, this role offers genuine responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to take ownership of major projects from mobilisation through to completion.
Importantly, this is a management-focused position. You will not be expected to work on the tools, allowing you to focus on coordinating teams, managing programme and quality, resolving site issues and ensuring successful project delivery.

The Role
As Site Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of commercial joinery projects on site.
You will coordinate larger site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other trades while working closely with the company's project management, design and manufacturing teams.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the overall delivery of commercial and architectural joinery projects on site
- Coordinating and supervising larger site teams and multiple trades
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project requirements
- Planning and coordinating daily and weekly site activities
- Managing project sequencing, programme and installation schedules
- Liaising closely with builders, construction managers, project managers, subcontractors and other stakeholders
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, shop drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Ensuring joinery installation is completed accurately and in accordance with approved drawings
- Coordinating deliveries, materials, access and site logistics
- Managing site establishment, inductions and day-to-day site requirements
- Monitoring project progress against programme and identifying potential delays




- Proactively resolving site issues and coordinating solutions with the relevant teams
- Conducting regular quality inspections and ensuring defects and rectification works are managed efficiently
- Coordinating with the factory and project teams to ensure joinery is manufactured and delivered in line with site requirements
- Managing variations, additional works and site-related issues as required
- Maintaining strong relationships with builders, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with WHS requirements and company procedures
- Monitoring site safety, housekeeping and compliance
- Attending site meetings and providing project updates
- Maintaining accurate site records, reports and documentation
- Managing project handovers, defects and final completion
- Taking full ownership of the site delivery process from mobilisation through to completion

About You
We are looking for an experienced construction professional who can confidently manage larger commercial projects and site teams while maintaining a strong understanding of joinery and interior construction.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Strong experience within commercial joinery, architectural joinery, shopfitting, commercial fit-out or interiors
- Proven experience managing larger site teams and multiple subcontractors
- A solid trade or construction background
- Strong understanding of commercial construction and site operations
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from commencement through to completion
- The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, plans and specifications
- Strong understanding of project sequencing and construction programmes
- Excellent subcontractor and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving site issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality




- A thorough understanding of WHS requirements
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery
- Strong computer and site administration skills
- A professional approach when dealing with builders, clients and project stakeholders
