The Role

An established Wollongong dealership is seeking an ambitious Assistant Sales Manager to support the day-to-day performance of its new vehicle sales operation.

This is an ideal opportunity for a proven automotive salesperson, senior sales consultant or 2IC ready to take the next step into dealership management.

Working closely with the Sales Manager, you’ll help drive team performance, manage customer opportunities, assist with deal structure and negotiations, monitor leads and follow-up activity, support stock management and ensure the sales team remains focused on delivering both strong results and an excellent customer experience.

You’ll also remain hands-on with customers and deals, making this a genuine development role for someone looking to build their management career.

You’ll Need

You’ll have solid automotive dealership sales experience together with a strong understanding of the sales process, lead management and closing techniques.

You’ll be commercially minded, confident assisting other salespeople with deals and negotiations, and capable of leading by example on the showroom floor. Strong communication, organisation and people skills are essential,



along with the drive to achieve targets and help lift the performance of the wider team.

Previous supervisory, 2IC or management experience will be highly regarded, although high-performing consultants ready for their first management opportunity are encouraged to apply.

A current driver’s licence is essential.
