Senior Civil Design Engineer - Buildings | Inner Urban | Defence | Energy Projects 170 to 130k

Lead the civil design of complex, high-profile projects across NSW and Australia.

We are working with a highly regarded consulting engineering practice that is continuing to grow its Civil Engineering team and is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join the business.

This is an opportunity for a technically strong Civil Engineer who enjoys being involved in the design, delivery and coordination of complex civil infrastructure associated with major buildings, inner-urban developments, defence facilities and energy projects.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, project leaders, architects and other disciplines, delivering practical civil solutions across projects that require a high level of technical expertise and design coordination.

The Opportunity As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering civil engineering design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, including:

- Major commercial and mixed-use developments
- Inner-urban and high-density developments
- Defence facilities and infrastructure
- Energy and industrial projects
- Education, health and institutional projects
- Complex brownfield and constrained sites
- Large-scale building and infrastructure developments

Your responsibilities will include:

- Civil design and documentation from concept through to construction
- Stormwater drainage and hydraulic design
- Roads, pavements and access design
- Earthworks and site grading
- Water-sensitive urban design
- Civil infrastructure coordination
- Preparation and review of technical documentation
- Working closely with architects,



structural engineers and other building services disciplines
- Liaising with clients, authorities, contractors and project stakeholders
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers
- Supporting project delivery, including design reviews and construction-phase involvement

What We're Looking For We are interested in speaking with Civil Engineers who have a strong consulting background and enjoy working on technically challenging building and infrastructure projects.
You will ideally have:

- 8+ years' experience in civil engineering design
- Strong experience within a consulting engineering environment
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil design for building, inner-urban or complex development projects
- Experience with drainage, stormwater, earthworks and civil infrastructure design
- Strong understanding of Australian civil engineering standards and practices
- Proficiency with relevant civil design software
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
- The ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
- A degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered status, or a desire to achieve CPEng, would be highly regarded
