Full Job Description
Perspective Recruitment are seeking an experienced Forklift operators for our Mechanical/Electronics manufacturer to work with our client based in Willawong
The role requires you to ensure the protected and effective operation of forklifts, picking and production work, storage and despatch of inventory to feed business operations and customer demand. This position will require you to work ongoing, full-time hours Monday to Friday.
There are multiple ongoing full-time hours and ongoing positions, offering a great hourly rate and ongoing training for the right candidates
Hours: 7:00am - 3:06pm
Hourly Rate: $35-$36 ph + Superannuation + Optional overtime
Responsibilities:
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts and pick boxes
- RF scanning
- Accurate and timely 'assembly' of components as well as picking and production work in a manufacturing environment
- Machine operating and production work
- Receive and process inventory (unload, label, store)
- Thoroughly inspect inventory for any damage and discrepancies
- Assembly and process work as required
To be successful:
- Forklift licensed
- Assembly and ensuring components are positioned and aligned
- Use of tools and manual process work
- A valid driver's licence is ideal
- Experience in a factory setting
- Heavy production experience is a bonus
- Strong communication skills - can relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
- Able to accurately complete paperwork.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable performing routine, repetitive tasks.
- Able to lift and move heavy objects - good physical fitness required.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Good numeracy and mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of process environments.
- Experience with operating machinery.
