- 9 month role with possible extension

The Cyber Security Unit team provides cyber security leadership, governance, policy and standards, advocacy, capability development, security incident coordination and delivers of whole of Government security services. As a key member of the team, you will analyse the critical cyber security needs and requirements of the diverse government entities supported by CSU, and develop optimised cyber security architectures through a consultative and collaborative approach. The architectures involved often cater for multiple government entities, including Whole-of-Government services. The architectures are expected to be reusable across the government ecosystem and foster effective and efficient cyber security maturity uplifts.

Your responsibilities:

- Manage the updating of the technical cyber security standards, policies, frameworks, and guidelines that align with the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture.
- Develop cyber security technology roadmaps, approaches and architectures dealing with new and emerging cyber security challenges.
- Contribute to the development of cyber security services to enhance the overall government cyber security posture and address current and emerging threats.




- Lead the planning and design of robust security architectures for current services or initiatives by CSU.
- Attend and present at Cyber Security Communities of Practice.
- Provide targeted technical advice to CSU and Queensland Government entities to inform approaches to cyber related issues and adopting CSU services.

To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in developing multi-stakeholder complex cyber security enterprise architectures and roadmaps.
- Extensive experience in developing high-quality cyber security solution architecture documentation, including required specifications and assessments.
- Demonstrated high level experience in senior technical stakeholder engagement and provide professional informative advice to influence operations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and problem solve identifying mitigations to business associated with cyber threats.
- Highly developed interpersonal communication and written skills.
- Proven ability to understand technical complexity and present it to both technical and non-technical audiences.
