East Bridge Healthcare is seeking reliable and experienced Kitchen Hands to join our team for block-booking contracts within regional aged care facilities.

About the Role As a Kitchen Hand working within aged care, you will support the kitchen team with the preparation and delivery of meals to residents while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
Duties may include:

- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Supporting cooks and kitchen staff with meal service
- Preparing and plating meals and refreshments
- Washing dishes and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Cleaning kitchen equipment, benches and food preparation areas
- Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Following food safety, hygiene and infection control procedures
- Working in accordance with aged care food service requirements
- Supporting the kitchen team to ensure meals are delivered on time

About You We are looking for Kitchen Hands who are:

- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Comfortable working in an aged care environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of working in a busy commercial kitchen
- Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Flexible and willing to work a range of shifts
- Experienced in kitchen or food service environments

Previous aged care experience is essential

Requirements

- Previous kitchen hand, hospitality or food service experience
- Food Safety/ Food Handler training or willingness to obtain
- Ability to provide required employment and compliance documentation
- Current police check or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to commit to the agreed block-booking period
