Life Publishing Group is looking for a talented and motivated Graduate Graphic Designer to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working to deadlines and consistently delivers a high standard week after week.

About the Role

Working across our publications, you’ll be responsible for:

- Designing advertisements across our newspaper mastheads
- Laying out newspaper pages and articles
- Working to multiple weekly production deadlines
- Collaborating closely with our editorial, sales and design teams
- Creating engaging, polished and effective visual content
- Developing your skills and taking on increasing responsibility
- Growing into opportunities to work across our magazine publications

You’ll be working across three weekly newspaper deadlines, so organisation, speed and attention to detail are essential. You’ll need to be someone who enjoys the momentum of a deadline-driven environment and can stay calm, focused and creative when things get busy.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

- A recent graphic design graduate or early-career designer
- Highly motivated, creative and passionate about design
- Confident using Adobe InDesign and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Technically strong, with excellent attention to detail




- Able to work efficiently and accurately to tight deadlines
- Cutting-edge and willing to think outside the box
- Eager to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- A great communicator who works well as part of a team
- Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to producing excellent work

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills across newspapers and magazines, take on more responsibility and become an important part of our creative team.

About Life Publishing Group

Life Publishing Group is a small, fast-growing independent publishing house based in North Queensland.

We currently produce five mastheads across three weekly newspapers, as well as two magazines every eight weeks.

We’re a passionate and dedicated team, and we genuinely care about producing the best possible products for our readers, advertisers and communities. Everyone brings their own expertise to the table, but we work collaboratively and support each other to get the job done.
