About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and reliable disability support worker to support an NDIS participant located near the Australian National University (ANU) in the ACT.

Key responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support in accordance with the participant's support plan, preferences and goals

- Support community access, social participation and recreational activities

- Encourage independence, choice and decision-making

- Maintain a calm, secure and structured environment

- Complete accurate shift notes and promptly report incidents or concerns

About you

- Previous disability-support experience, including in-home and community-based support

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration

- Current First Aid and CPR certificates

- Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

- Understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct

- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module

- Legal right to work in Australia

- Current National Police Check

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services, or another relevant qualification, is highly regarded
