What you’ll be doing:
Contribute to the safety of the local community in emergencies by playing an essential administrative role in the Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai Rural Fire District.
To thrive in this role:
- You will enjoy providing administrative support to NSW RFS volunteers and staff, managing inquiries from other emergency service personnel and the public, and contributing to a positive, productive office environment where our work directly benefits the local community
- You are comfortable learning and adapting to new work systems and jargon, have a basic understanding of finance and invoicing, and get on well with people from a range of backgrounds
- You understand the dynamic nature and pace of a volunteer-based emergency service, and the flexibility in work that it may sometimes require
- You pay attention to detail,
have good written communication and IT skills, and can show initiative in identifying process improvements
