Disabilty Support Worker – Community & Personal Care

Angelic Care is a specialist disability and community care provider supporting participants across the Gold Coast and wider Queensland. We provide person-centred supports focused on dignity, independence, choice and continuity of care. Our team works collaboratively with participants, families, clinical professionals and allied health providers to deliver safe, respectful and professional support within the home and community

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing Gold Coast team.

This position is suited to reliable, compassionate and experienced support workers who are confident providing personal care, community access and disability support across a variety of shifts.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living

· Support community access, appointments and social activities

· Assist with mobility, transfers and manual handling where required

· Support participants with mealtime routines

· Provide medication assistance within scope and competency





· Support household and daily living activities

· Monitor and report changes in participant health, wellbeing or support needs

· Complete accurate progress notes and required documentation

· Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and support procedures

· Maintain professional boundaries and participant confidentiality

· Work collaboratively with participants, families and the wider Angelic Care team

Essential Requirements

· Minimum 2 years' experience within disability, community or complex care

· Demonstrated experience providing personal care

· Experience supporting participants within their homes and the community

· Availability to work weekends, active nights and sleepovers

· Manual handling experience

· Medication assistance competency

· Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

· Current Blue Card / Working with Children Check where required

· Current First Aid and CPR

· Valid Australian Driver Licence

· Reliable, insured vehicle

· Strong written communication and documentation skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a professional care team

Highly Desirable





· Experience supporting people with spinal cord injury or acquired/traumatic brain injury

· Hoist and transfer experience

· High-intensity disability support experience

· Experience working within 2:1 /ILO/SIL support environments

· Additional disability, community services or healthcare qualifications
