About the role
Support a middle-aged female participant with complex behaviours to build independence and increase community inclusion in a Supported Independent Living environment. You'll assist with daily living, access to community services, and social and recreational participation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide respectful, dignified personal care and daily living support
- Build positive, trusting relationships and communicate clearly
- Implement positive behaviour support strategies safely and consistently
- Promote independence, choice, and community inclusion
- Support access to appointments, programs, and recreational activities
- Complete accurate, timely shift notes and incident reports
- Safely support medication administration in line with care plans and authorisations (tablets, liquids, topical, inhalers, patches)
- Work collaboratively with families/guardians and the broader support team
About you
- Minimum 2 years' experience supporting people with complex behaviours
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills
- Positive attitude, resilience, and willingness to learn
- Current driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
- Disability Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or equivalent
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible schedule (including overnights and public holidays)
- Proven experience supporting medication administration within scope as a Disability Support Worker
