The Role

This is a FIFO electrical position working a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster. You will work across a range of mining and industrial electrical activities, including:

- Electrical project work
- Construction and installation
- Maintenance and shutdown support
- Electrical upgrades and modifications
- Fault finding and breakdown repairs
- Servicing mining, commercial and government work.
- Testing and commissioning

The role would suit an electrician who enjoys a variety of work, can operate independently and takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems
- Carry out electrical construction, upgrades and modifications
- Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Carry out electrical testing and commissioning
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Complete electrical inspections and testing in accordance with relevant standards
- Maintain a high standard of safety, quality and compliance




- Work independently when required and contribute positively within the wider team
- Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and other trades
- Assist with the protected and efficient delivery of projects and maintenance activities

What a Great Candidate Looks Like

- Qualified Electrician with a current QLD Electrical Work Licence
- Background in mining, industrial, construction or maintenance electrical work
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, safety focused and professional
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a small team

- Current manual Driver Licence
- Current CPR and LVR, or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster

Additional Skills – Advantageous

The following qualifications and experience would be highly regarded:
- Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
- A strong background in Mining and Construction
- Instrumentation installation, calibration or fault-finding experience
- Hazardous Area qualifications
- S1, S2 and S3 competencies
- High Risk Work Licence including EWP and Forklift
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space Entry
