About NOA Wireless
Autonomous machines are transforming how the world moves, works and operates—but keeping them powered still relies on connectors, manual intervention and infrastructure designed for another era.
NOA Wireless is changing that.
We are building contactless power infrastructure for the next generation of autonomous systems, including drones, autonomous mobile robots, ground robots and subsea platforms. Our technology allows machines to recharge without exposed electrical contacts, mechanical connectors or human intervention, removing one of the biggest barriers to truly autonomous operation.
NOA’s wireless-power platforms span applications from 1 W to 500 W, with configurable transfer distances and system architectures engineered for demanding real-world environments.
Our electronics, embedded firmware and software are developed and integrated at our Sydney facility, where we are expanding our testing and production capabilities. In doing so, we are building Australian-owned technology and sovereign industrial capability across autonomy, robotics and undersea systems.
We are a tight-knit, engineering-led startup moving from customer trials and early deployments into repeatable production. We are small enough that every engineer can shape the technology, but far enough along that the systems you build will leave the laboratory and operate in the real world.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Engineer to take meaningful technical ownership across NOA’s wireless-charging platforms and help build the next generation of our high-power systems.
You will work across power electronics, embedded control and mixed-signal circuitry—from early architecture and circuit development through PCB bring-up, system integration, compliance testing and production release.
This is not a narrow role where you work on one isolated piece of a distant product. You will be close to the complete system, the customers using it and the technical decisions that shape where NOA goes next.
You will spend meaningful time at the bench solving difficult hardware problems, pushing efficiency and reliability, and transforming promising designs into robust, manufacturable products. You will work alongside our existing engineering team, collaborate directly with customers on integration and help establish the engineering practices NOA needs as we scale.

What we are looking for:The Essentials
- A degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience independently taking electronic products from design through verification and production.
- Strong practical capability in power electronics, including switching converters, gate-drive circuitry, magnetics, sensing, protection and thermal design.
- Experience designing and reviewing multilayer PCBs involving power, analogue and digital circuitry.
- Laboratory and fault-finding skills using oscilloscopes, differential and current probes, electronic loads, power analysers and related equipment.
- Practical understanding of signal integrity, grounding, noise, EMI/EMC and PCB layout.
- Experience developing verification plans and performing design validation, fault analysis and reliability testing.
- Sound engineering judgement, clear documentation and the ability to communicate technical decisions across disciplines.
- The curiosity and persistence to work through hard technical problems when the answer is not immediately obvious.
- A willingness to stay hands-on while taking ownership of design quality and engineering outcomes.
- The adaptability to thrive in a startup, where priorities move quickly and individual contributions have a visible impact.
Highly RegardedYou do not need to meet every point below. We would particularly like to hear from engineers with experience in one or more of these areas:
- Experience with resonant converters, inductive power transfer or wireless charging.
- Battery-charging systems and battery-management interfaces.
- Embedded hardware and close collaboration with embedded C/C++ firmware development.
- High-speed analogue or mixed-signal measurement and signal-processing circuitry.
- Control-loop design and digitally controlled power conversion.
- EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing and formal product certification.
- Environmental, ingress-protection, vibration, shock or accelerated-life testing.
- Design for manufacture, design for test, production fixtures and automated hardware testing.
- Experience developing electronics for robotics, aerospace, defence, maritime, industrial or other high-reliability applications.

- Take ownership of one or more important electronic subsystems.
- Contribute to the next generation of NOA’s high-power wireless-charging platform.
- Improve the performance, reliability and manufacturability of existing designs.
- Establish clearer and more repeatable verification and engineering-release practices.
- Reduce technical risk as products move from prototypes and field trials into production.
- Help create an engineering platform capable of supporting multiple products, deployments and customer integrations.
- See technology you helped design progress from the bench into complete autonomous systems.
