Role Description This is an entry-level, part time Software Developer role based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with the design, development, and testing of software features under the guidance of senior developers.

The role involves writing clean, maintainable code, fixing bugs, and contributing to back-end web services and application logic. The developer will participate in code reviews, follow established coding standards, and help document technical processes. Collaboration with the development team to learn best practices and support ongoing projects is a key part of this position.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development, with an understanding of core concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and software lifecycle.
- Practical skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including the ability to write clear,



well-structured code in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
- Exposure to Back-End Web Development, such as working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks, or a strong interest in developing these skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback and mentorship.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace, both on-site and remotely.
- Relevant coursework or a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (completed or in progress).
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic understanding of debugging and testing practices is beneficial.
