ABOUT THE ROLE

Yoga Paws is looking for a reliable, energetic person, with a balance of professionalism and friendliness, to work as an Event Coordinator helping run our animal-integrated yoga sessions across Sydney. You will be running the event, not instructing it.

Our sessions mainly involve puppies, but we also work with kittens, greyhounds and other animals, in collaboration with some of Australia’s best animal shelters and ethical breeders. This is a hands-on weekend role involving event setup, guest interaction, animal welfare and pack-down.

The role requires general availability across both Saturdays and Sundays. Most weeks involve working one day, although some weekends may require work on both days.

The successful candidate will be the sole event coordinator in Sydney, working alongside casual event staff and yoga instructors.

Prior event experience is valued but not required, as training will be provided. Experience with dogs or other animals is beneficial but not essential.

THE ROLE INVOLVES

- Setting up and packing down the studio, mats, pens, signage and equipment.
- Welcoming guests, managing check-in and providing friendly customer service.
- Helping facilitate sessions and maintaining a professional, organised environment.
- Monitoring animal welfare and ensuring animals are comfortable, safe and given appropriate breaks.
- Working respectfully with breeders, rescue partners, instructors and attendees.
- Transporting, cleaning and maintaining event equipment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR





- General availability across both Saturdays and Sundays.
- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable car.
- A reliable, professional and positive attitude.
- Confidence working with animals and interacting with the public.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take initiative.
- The ability to manage setup, pack-down and a full day on your feet.
- Someone who does not mind cleaning and storing equipment each week, with all time paid for.

PAY AND HOURS

- Part-time weekend position.
- Generally one day per weekend, with occasional full-weekend work.
- Typical hours are approximately 7:00am to 5:30pm.
- $30 per hour, plus paid breaks, superannuation and leave entitlements.
- Long-term availability is preferred.

This is a genuinely enjoyable and rewarding role for someone who loves animals, enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating memorable experiences. Whilst this may very well be the most enjoyable job in the world, professionalism and care are required across the board. As the sole Coordinator in Sydney who manages the equipment, this is a big responsibility.
