About the role

Bentley Quarry is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Bentley, NSW 2480, this is a hands-on operational role that plays a crucial part in our quarrying and plant & machinery operations. As an Excavator Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy excavation equipment safely and efficiently, contributing directly to the productivity and success of our site.

This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety standards.

What you'll be doing

- Operating excavators and other heavy machinery to extract and load materials in accordance with site plans and specifications
- Performing pre-operational checks on excavation equipment to ensure safe working condition
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials moved, and equipment maintenance
- Following all health and safety protocols and site-specific procedures at all times
- Communicating effectively with other team members and supervisory staff to ensure coordinated site operations
- Assisting with the maintenance and care of excavation equipment as required
- Adapting to changing site conditions and adjusting work methods accordingly
- Contributing to a positive safety culture and reporting any hazards or concerns immediately

What we're looking for

- Current and valid excavator operating licence or equivalent certification recognised in New South Wales
- Minimum 5 years' proven experience operating excavators in a quarry or construction setting
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to plant & machinery operations




- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- Physical fitness and capability to perform the demands of the role
- A reliable attendance record and commitment to punctuality
- Willingness to undertake additional training as required
- Experience with different types of excavation equipment is advantageous
