Mt Wilga Private Hospital has an exciting casual position available within our Catering Team. As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our high-quality, safe and compassionate food service. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:

- Assisting with food preparation and the daily operations of the kitchen.
- Preparing and serving meals and beverages to patients, in line with dietary requirements and hospital standards.
- Cleaning meal trays, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean, hygienic, and protected working environment at all times.
- Working collaboratively with your colleagues in the Catering Team to ensure meals and service are delivered efficiently and on time.

About You To succeed in this role, you will be a reliable and positive team player who enjoys working in a busy environment.

You will also demonstrate

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hospital environment (highly desirable).
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and patient-focused approach.
- The ability to follow food safety, infection control, workplace health and safety and other hospital requirements.
- The ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace environment, including a willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values.
- Flexibility and availability to work across a 7-day roster.

Remuneration On offer is a base hourly rate of $27.20 + casual loading + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Additional Information

- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
