Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Process Engineer / Process Control Supervisor to join our operation in Savage River.
An exciting prospect is available for a Process Control Supervisor to join our Quality Process team at Savage River. Reporting to the Quality & Process Improvement Manager, you will be a key member of a dedicated team delivering effective process control services to achieve daily operational excellence, drive down unit cost of production and improve production capability across the site.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Assist with process optimisation and standardisation of shift quality and process control
- Deliver effective process control services to achieve daily operational excellence, to drive down unit cost of production and improve production
- Engage with the training department to cover any training needs for operations teams to ensure all competencies are met
- Assist production activities including contractors in the concentrator to achieve quality outcomes

Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Relevant qualification in Production Operations, Process Engineering, Metallurgy or a related field
- Demonstrated experience supervising production, operations or maintenance activities within a heavy industrial and resources
- Computer literacy with strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to changing circumstances
- A background leading teams at supervisor or superintendent level

Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

Savage River
The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to Grange's pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.
The Savage River worksite is only an hour and half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour’s flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
