Full-time, 35 hours per week

✨Identified position: Female and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Are you the kind of person who loves keeping things organised, helping people, and supporting a team to run smoothly?

We’re looking for an Administration Officer to join our incredible Minga Gudjaga team at Waminda. This is more than admin job – you’ll be part of a passionate, community-focused team that believes in supporting women, children, and families through culturally safe, strengths-based care.

If you’re highly organised, love variety in your day, enjoy working with people, and can juggle multiple priorities while keeping a smile on your face, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Administration Officer, you’ll be the heartbeat of the office, helping the team stay connected, organised, and focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for our community. You’ll support day-to-day administration, coordinate activities, assist with reporting and data management, and help create a welcoming experience for clients, staff, and visitors.

No two days are the same. One minute you might be coordinating meetings, the next you’re helping a program team, managing records, supporting events, or finding solutions to keep things moving.

Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that works hard, laughs often, celebrates wins together, and genuinely cares about community and each other.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Supporting the daily operations of the Minga Gudjaga team
- Coordinating administrative activities and keeping systems running smoothly
- Assisting with data collection,

reporting, and program documentation
- Supporting staff, students, volunteers, and visitors
- Helping maintain accurate records and compliance requirements
- Building positive relationships with clients, community members, and partner organisations
- Contributing ideas that improve processes, systems, and service delivery
- Being an active participant in a positive, supportive workplace culture.

About You

You’ll fit right in if you are:

✅ Organised and proactive

✅ Friendly, approachable, and professional

✅ Great at juggling competing priorities

✅ A strong communicator who enjoys working with people

✅ A team player who contributes to a positive workplace culture

✅ Adaptable, reliable, and solution-focused

✅ Passionate about community wellbeing and culturally safe practices.

What You’ll Bring

- Relevant study, qualifications, training, or hands-on experience in administration or a related field. We value lived experience, transferable skills, and a willingness to learn just as much as formal qualifications
- Experience in administration, business support, community services, or a similar role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence using administrative systems and managing records

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn
- Driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, and National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain).

Why Join Waminda?

At Waminda, culture is at the centre of everything we do. You’ll join a workplace that values connection, wellbeing, professional growth, and community leadership. Our teams are supportive, passionate, and committed to creating positive change for Aboriginal women, children, and families.

We believe outstanding work happens when people feel valued, supported, and able to bring their whole selves to work.

As a member of our team, you’ll benefit from:

- A supportive and culturally strong workplace
- Opportunities for professional development and ongoing learning
- Reflective practice and supervision to support your wellbeing and growth
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of Aboriginal women, families and communities.

This is an Identified Position – applicants must identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander woman. This position is exempt under Sections 14(d) and 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
