Rocktown are a major civil engineering subcontractor delivering reinforced concrete structures on Tier 1 infrastructure projects across Australia. We are currently delivering works on the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project in Adelaide and are looking for multiple Graduate or Junior Site Engineers to join our South Australian team:

- Site Engineer – T2D Project: supporting our site team delivering complex civil works on the T2D Project, working alongside the Tier 1 head contractor
- Site Engineer – Precast Facility: supporting production, quality and delivery at our Adelaide precast concrete manufacturing facility

These are hands-on roles in a small, dedicated team. You will learn how major structural concrete works are actually built – from formwork, reinforcement and concrete pours through to precast manufacture and installation.

The role Reporting to the Project Engineer and Project Manager, and with training and guidance, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with project planning, organisation and programming
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction documentation and issuing RFIs
- Performing quality assurance checks and site inspections; preparing and maintaining ITPs and inspection records
- Conducting safety inspections and maintaining compliance with project and company systems
- Supporting procurement of materials and services
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, plant, materials and precast deliveries
- Compiling site costings, tracking quantities and assisting with budgets and progress claims
- Communicating with the head contractor, clients and other stakeholders
- Supporting the Superintendent and Supervisors to deliver works safely, on time and to specification

For the precast facility role, the focus will be on production planning, quality control and documentation, and coordinating the delivery of precast elements to site.

What we're looking for

We value attitude, reliability and a genuine desire to learn. Our ideal candidates will have:

- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or a related field)



– recent graduates through to approximately 3 years' experience
- A genuine interest in construction and in being on site or in the yard
- Strong communication and organisational skills, and the confidence to work with trades, supervisors and client representatives
- A proactive, positive and safety-first mindset
- Current White Card (or willingness to obtain) and Driver's Licence
- Australian work rights and the ability to obtain project clearances and inductions

What will set you apart

- Vacation work, cadetship or site experience with a civil contractor or concrete subcontractor
- Understanding of ITPs, RFIs, lot management and quality assurance on major projects
- Exposure to formwork, reinforcement, concrete or precast works
- Familiarity with project management systems such as Aconex, InEight or Procore
