What the Guac
Bega
Hospitality Team Members – Front & Back of House
What The Guac – Bega, NSW
Casual positions | Flexible rostering | Plenty of hours available
What The Guac is getting ready to open in Bega, and we’re building our opening team.
We’re a brand-new fast-casual Mexican venue focused on great food, fast friendly service and creating a fun, energetic place to work.
We’re looking for Hospitality Team Members who are happy to work across both Front and Back of House. We want a versatile team where everyone can jump in, help each other out and keep the whole venue running smoothly.
You don’t need to come to us knowing everything — we’re very happy to train the right people.
The role
Our team members will be trained across the whole venue, including:
- Taking customer orders and using the POS
- Providing friendly, effective customer service
- Preparing burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos and other menu items
- Basic food preparation and cooking
- Preparing drinks, coffee and soft serve
- Packing takeaway orders
- Restocking and preparing for service
- Following recipes, portions and food safety procedures
- Dishwashing and cleaning
- Keeping both customer and kitchen areas clean and organised
- Opening and closing procedures
- Helping wherever needed during busy services
We don’t want rigid “Front of House people” and “Back of House people”. Our strongest team members will be confident working across both sides of the business. Hours & availability
We’re open 7 days a week for around 13 hours a day, so there is a wide range of shifts available across:
- Early mornings
- Daytime
- Afternoons and evenings
- Weekdays
- Weekends
There are plenty of hours available for the right candidates, and team members who are versatile, reliable and able to work across a broader range of duties and shifts will generally have access to more hours. At the same time, we’re happy to work around study, family and other commitments where we can.
Whether you’re looking for a few shifts each week or considerably more hours, we’d still love to hear from you.
Training
Full training will be provided.
Our opening team will complete structured training before launch so everyone understands our menu, food preparation, customer service standards, equipment and systems.
Hospitality experience is helpful, but it’s not essential for every position.
We’re much more interested in finding people who have the right attitude, are reliable, enjoy working with others and are willing to learn.
If you’re great with people but haven’t worked in a kitchen before, we can teach you.
If you’re comfortable with food preparation but haven’t used a POS or made coffee before, we can teach you that too.
Who we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from people who:
- Are friendly and confident with customers
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Are reliable and turn up ready to work
- Are willing to learn new skills
- Are happy working across both Front and Back of House
- Can stay calm and organised when it gets busy
- Take pride in doing things properly
- Are willing to clean, restock and help wherever needed
- Bring a positive attitude to work
- Want to be part of building a great workplace from the beginning
Experience in hospitality, fast food, cafés, retail or customer service is a bonus, but personality, work ethic and attitude are just as important to us. Why join What The Guac?
You’ll be joining a brand-new venue and brand-new team from day one, with the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and grow with the business.
