About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Home Independence Team Leader to lead and support our Home Independence teams across the North-West.
In this full-time leadership role, you will provide practical day-to-day leadership, mentor and develop staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services aligned with organisational values and regulatory standards. You will act as a key link between frontline staff and management, supporting service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Regional travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support Home Independence Assistants, Domestic Assistants, and Home & Garden Maintenance staff
- Support staff induction, onboarding, buddy shifts, and ongoing development
- Monitor service delivery and quality of care, escalating concerns where required
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and values-driven team culture
- Support compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, WHS, and organisational policies
- Assist with rostering, scheduling, leave management, and operational coordination
- Participate in audits, quality improvement activities, and incident management
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure accurate documentation and confidentiality of client information
About You You are an experienced team leader with a strong understanding of community and aged care service delivery. You enjoy supporting others to succeed, are confident managing competing priorities, and are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
You are collaborative, organised, and comfortable working across regional settings.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a community services role
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting teams
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle
- National Police Check
- Working with Vulnerable People (or equivalent) check
- Right to work in Australia
Highly Desirable
- Solid understanding of reablement, wellness, and restorative care models
- Knowledge of WHS, risk management, and continuous quality improvement
- Experience with rostering systems and client management systems
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
