Gleeson College invites expressions of interest from internal College staff.

NOTE: While this is specifically advertised to replace the remaining tenure of the Senior Years Hughes House Leader (end of 2027), suitable candidates may also be selected from this recruitment process for any unexpected absences that would occur in the first term of 2027 (e.g. replacement/acting roles).

Gleeson College is seeking compassionate, organised and relational teachers to take on the role of House Leader. This Position of Responsibility Level 2 role assumes responsibility for the educational life of students within an assigned House, with a focus on pastoral care, student case management, personal development, parent/caregiver partnership and the general organisation of House matters.

The successful applicant/s will work closely with the Assistant Principal Student Development, Leaders of Middle and Senior Pastoral Care, the House Leadership Team, Care Group Teachers, Counsellors, staff, students and families. The role includes developing House identity and culture, leading House and Care Group meetings, supporting College and House events, maintaining accurate student records, communicating with families,



and contributing to the wellbeing, learning and personal development of students across the College.

This role would suit teachers who are confident building positive relationships, supporting student wellbeing and behaviour through restorative practices, and working collaboratively with staff and families to support student learning, attendance, behaviour and academic progress.

House

Leaders play an key role in strengthening House spirit, fostering a culture of high expectations and high support, and helping students and staff feel connected to their House and the broader Gleeson College community.

This role is only available to Gleeson College staff.
