Xavier College is seeking a collaborative House Director – Teaching and Learning (HDT&L;) to join our vibrant Two Wells Campus (R–11, expanding to Year 12 in 2027). This is a key leadership position (POR3) with responsibility for leading curriculum development, staff growth and overseeing the case management of student learning outcomes.
Multiple positions are available with a January 2027 commencement date, for a fixed period of 4 years. This position involves a permanent, full-time teaching role.
Working in close partnership with your HDT&L; and House Director - Pastoral Care (HDPC) counterparts and the Two Wells Leadership team, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership, driving excellence in teaching and learning, strengthening pedagogical practice, and fostering a culture of high expectations, innovation and continuous improvement across the campus.
This position involves a teaching component and should be read in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead teaching and learning excellence across Years 7–12
- Shape curriculum innovation and evidence informed pedagogical practice
- Mentor and develop staff through coaching, collaboration and professional growth opportunities
- Influence student achievement through academic leadership and overseeing case management
- Lead and support Curriculum Leaders to deliver high quality learning outcomes
- Drive the effective integration of digital technology in teaching and learning
- Work as part of a dynamic leadership team focused on student success and continuous improvement
- Partner with the House Director – Pastoral Care to provide holistic support for students
- Guide students and families through subject selection and future pathway planning
- Make a meaningful impact on curriculum development, staff capability and student outcomes
