About Infrastructure Partnerships Australia

Infrastructure Partnerships Australia is an industry think tank and an executive member network, providing research focused on excellence in social and economic infrastructure. We exist to shape public debate and drive reform for the national interest.

The Role

We are recruiting for an Infrastructure Policy Analyst within Infrastructure Partnerships Australia’s Research team. The successful candidate will play a central role in identifying, developing and delivering high-quality advice on infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand. You will make key contributions to policy and research initiatives through analysis of the Australian and New Zealand Infrastructure Pipeline (ANZIP) and other infrastructure market data (utilising Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools).

You will be involved in producing sector-leading research including the Monthly Pipeline Report and Quarterly Chart Pack. This role also provides unrivalled opportunities to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior business and public sector leaders, including the members of our Advisory Board.

You will have highly developed skills in data analysis and written communication, outstanding interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail and a strong interest in infrastructure investments and policy reforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Undertaking analysis, visualising data and developing insights from various sources and sharing them via Infrastructure Partnerships Australia’s media channels.
- Drafting high-quality, well-evidenced research and analysis on infrastructure policies, projects and themes for policy and research documents, including major reports, briefing notes and submissions.
- Managing and updating the ANZIP website, ensuring the accuracy and quality of information provided.




- Coordinating contributions from Infrastructure Partnerships Australia team members and external stakeholders to the ANZIP website.
- Engaging with senior executives from the public and private sectors and building strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Contributing to a range of activities across Infrastructure Partnerships Australia’s functions, including policy and research, events and membership, and communications and engagement.
- Helping Infrastructure Partnerships Australia to deliver on its vision, mission and values, as outlined in its Corporate Strategy.

About You The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated infrastructure policy professionals from a range of academic and professional backgrounds. Whatever your background, we expect you to be intellectually curious, personable and understand that communicating and implementing ideas is just as important as coming up with them.

Preferred candidates will have

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and a strong academic record
- Skills in compiling, analysing, visualising and presenting data using Tableau or other business intelligence tools
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- A broad understanding of infrastructure markets, economic and financial concepts, and policy development processes, and
- an ability to manage competing priorities and projects and deliver work to tight deadlines.
