We are on the lookout for an energetic Kitchen Hand to join our team at Cooinda Lodge, in the heart of Kakadu National Park.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitizing of all kitchen areas, including food preparation and storage areas
- Keeping floors and work areas clear of hazards and obstruction
- Responsible of the operation of kitchen cleaning equipment, and reporting faults
- Assemble and prepare ingredients for cooking as requested
- Assist with receiving and storing stock
- Handle chemicals and equipment correctly as per manufacturers' instructions
- Utilise secure and hygienic methods for the removal of dry and wet waste
About You:
- Previous experience working in a hotel or kitchen
- Relevant food preparation and service knowledge
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks and lifting
- High attention to detail and ability to follow routines and safety procedures
- Flexible, reliable and able to work both independently and part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
