Contract Type: Contract Position Part Time (0.20 FTE)

Kindergarten to Year 6 serving the Kiama Parish with an enrolment of approximately 386 pupils.

Location: Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Parish Primary School, Kiama

A temporary part time position commencing 28 January 2027 until 26 January 2028.

The role of Classroom Music Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School.
- Experience in teaching Music in a Primary School setting.
- Assistance with liturgical events.
- Ability to implement differentiated learning and assessment experiences for studentsin the teaching of the NSW Creative Arts Syllabus.
- Experience in leading school band and choir programs.
- Positive strategies for managing student behaviour and high expectations for studentlearning within the SPB4L Framework.




- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a teamenvironment.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong organisational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Appropriate qualificationsin Teaching - Creative Arts (Music Syllabus) K–6.
- Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
