About The Opportunity
n
The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive accounting and administration support across a long-standing high-net-worth family group while also supporting a portfolio of private business and individual accounting clients.
n
Approximately 50% of the role will focus on hands-on family office administration and accounting, with the remaining 50% covering general accounting and tax work. This is a wide-ranging position requiring someone comfortable moving between routine financial administration and more complex accounting, reporting and commercial matters.
n
Some of your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Manage payments, payroll, bookkeeping and reconciliations across multiple family entities
n
- Prepare BAS, cash flow reports, balance sheet information and management reporting
n
- Monitor cash positions while assisting with budgets, forecasts and financial analysis
n
- Liaise directly with family members, banks, insurers, advisers, accountants and lawyers
n
- Coordinate insurance renewals and varied financial,
administrative and personal matters
n
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS and management accounts for private clients
n
- Assist with tax planning, year-end work, client queries and broader accounting matters
n
n
About You
n
The successful candidate will have:
n
n
- Several years' experience across accounting, business services, bookkeeping or similar
n
- An accounting qualification or substantial relevant accounting experience
n
- Strong bookkeeping, general accounting, payroll and financial administration skills
n
- Experience managing transactions and financial information across multiple related entities
n
- Ability to prepare management reports, financial information and supporting schedules
n
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and commercial judgement
n
- Professional communication skills with the discretion to handle confidential information
n
- A hands-on, adaptable approach with the initiative to take ownership of varied tasks
n
n
Previous family office experience will be highly regarded.
