360 Underwriting Solutions is seeking a detail-driven Insurance Accounts Officer to join our Finance Group Services team in Sydney’s Barangaroo precinct. This role supports accurate receipting, account allocation, reconciliations, debtor follow-up, and account query resolution across our underwriting agency portfolio.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to leverage prior Accounts Receivable / Credit Control / Accounts Reconciliation experience to join a growing finance team supporting multiple underwriting agencies.

The Insurance Accounts

Officer will gain hands-on experience across core accounting processes, month-end activities, reconciliations, and reporting support, all while developing an understanding of the intermediated insurance market in a supported team environment. This position is ideal for someone in their accounting career who is eager to learn and build strong technical foundations within the insurance industry.

2. PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As part of our Insurance Accounts Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate receipting, managing account queries, and supporting our underwriters and accountants to maintain financial integrity across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

- Process daily receipts and payments with accuracy and timeliness
- Minimise unallocated cash and ensure correct account allocation
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts
- Collaborate with underwriters to resolve policy/payment discrepancies
- Respond to client account queries professionally and promptly
- Support trust bank reconciliations with our accounting team

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

DESCRIPTION

- Monitor, follow up and escalate on overdue debt balances
- Assist with compliance activities, including audit requests, regulatory reporting support, and maintaining audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and provide backup support where required
- Follow established processes and contribute suggestions for incremental improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Assist the FC, CFO, and senior accountants with ad-hoc tasks, reporting, and analysis as needed

The role requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow established processes accurately. The Insurance Accounts Officer will develop skills in financial systems, data management, and reporting while working in a supportive team environment.

JOB SPECIFICATION

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS – bachelor’s degree, with emphasis on Accounting.

EXPERIENCE – 1–2 years experience in an accounts receivable or credit control. Exposure to corporate finance and insurance environments preferred.





SKILLS – Strong attention to detail; willingness to learn; ability to follow processes; good written and verbal communication skills; robust organisational skills; ability to work to deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE – Basic understanding of accounting principles; familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); interest in developing financial systems literacy; comfort in handling and managing data.

7. WORK CONDITIONS

- This is a full time, maternity leave cover position.
- Office based role with 1 day per week WFH flexibility, subject to manager agreement following initial onboarding
- CBD location, between Wynyard and Barangaroo stations, with end of trip facilities
