An exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join an established private cardiology practice in a major regional centre, offering the opportunity to build a meaningful and sustainable practice while providing specialist cardiac care closer to home.

The role offers the opportunity to:

- Develop or expand a sustainable private cardiology practice within an established referral network
- Access cardiac catheterisation facilities for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Provide outpatient consultations, inpatient cardiology care and diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Build strong relationships with GPs, specialists and healthcare providers
- Contribute to the continued development of regional cardiac services

The procedural scope may include diagnostic coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), coronary physiology including FFR and iFR, and intravascular imaging including IVUS and OCT, subject to credentialling, clinical need and agreed service arrangements. This role provides an excellent opportunity to establish a long-term presence within a growing regional community, develop strong referral networks and support greater access to specialist interventional cardiology services.

The hospital provides access to cardiac catheterisation facilities and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, working closely with hospital medical, nursing and cardiac catheter laboratory teams to deliver high-quality specialist care.

What you’ll need:

- Medical qualification recognised for practice in Australia
- FRACP in Cardiology or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
- Advanced training and demonstrated experience in Interventional Cardiology
- Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated competence in diagnostic coronary angiography and PCI
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and private hospital credentialling
- Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical quality and collaborative care
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to developing regional referral relationships
