Role Description An

IT Application Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, monitoring, and improving business applications and IT systems. The role works closely with development, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, business, and vendor teams to ensure applications remain stable, secure, and available.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor application availability, performance, and system health.

- Provide technical and functional support for business applications.

- Troubleshoot application incidents, errors, and performance issues.

- Investigate recurring problems and perform root cause analysis.

- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and cybersecurity teams.

- Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and change activities.

- Perform application configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and patching.

- Monitor scheduled jobs, system interfaces, APIs, and application integrations.

- Support application deployments, releases, testing, and production activities.

- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational guidelines.

- Coordinate with software vendors and external service providers.

- Monitor application security, user access, backups, and system controls.

- Support capacity, availability, and performance management activities.





- Identify recurring issues and recommend system or process improvements.

- Prepare operational reports and provide application performance updates.

- Provide technical support to business users and resolve application-related requests.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Relevant experience in application support, IT operations, system administration, or application management.

- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.

- Knowledge of databases, SQL, APIs, system integrations, and application interfaces.

- Experience with Windows, Linux, cloud platforms, or enterprise IT environments.

- Familiarity with ITIL principles and IT service management processes.

- Experience with monitoring, ticketing, logging, or application performance management tools.

- Understanding of application security, user access, backup, and system availability.

- Robust analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to manage multiple incidents, requests, and operational priorities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant IT management tools.

- Professional, reliable, organized, and proactive approach.
