Role Description The employer is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support daily accounting and financial operations. The role will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accounting information is recorded accurately and on a timely basis.

The Junior Accountant will support accounts payable and receivable activities, invoice processing, expense verification, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. The role will work closely with internal departments and relevant external parties to resolve discrepancies, maintain proper financial documentation, and support efficient accounting processes.

Key responsibilities include recording and reviewing financial transactions, preparing account reconciliations, maintaining accounting schedules, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. The role will also support audit requests, tax documentation, financial analysis, and other finance-related administrative activities while following established accounting policies and internal controls.

The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining accurate and reliable financial data, identifying discrepancies, supporting compliance requirements, and improving the efficiency of accounting processes.



Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, integrity, and a willingness to learn are essential for the role.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data organization, and basic financial analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
- Robust numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information and documentation.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism.
- Ability to follow established procedures while identifying discrepancies and potential improvements.
- Proactive attitude with a solid willingness to learn and develop within the finance and accounting function.
