Mackay Regional Council are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer (Level 3 Stream B) to join our Infrastructure & Operations team within Civil Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of essential civil infrastructure while working as part of a supportive and safety-focused team.
As a Labourer, you will assist with a variety of civil construction and maintenance activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake general labouring duties associated with civil works and infrastructure maintenance.
- Assist with road, drainage, footpath and associated civil maintenance activities.
- Operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
- Support the operation of plant and equipment as required and appropriately licensed.
- Assist with traffic management and site set-up activities.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively within a team workplace to achieve operational objectives.
- Ensure worksites are maintained in a clean, safe and professional condition.
About You To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate
- Experience in labouring, civil construction, maintenance, or a related field.
- Ability to performphysically demanding tasks in outdoor environments.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
Qualifications Essential
- Construction Industry White Card.
- C Class Driver Licence.
Desirable
- Traffic Management qualifications.
- Relevant plant or machinery tickets/licences.
- Minimum MR Driver Licence.
