ABOUT THE ROLE:

As our Landscape Surveillance Officer, you will play a key role in protecting and enhancing Bass Coast's urban forest and open spaces through the monitoring and inspection of landscaping and tree planting requirements associated with current developments. You'll help ensure landscaping outcomes meet Council standards and contribute to a greener, more sustainable Bass Coast.

Key responsibilities include

- Reviewing landscape plans and providing input into planning permit conditions.
- Conducting inspections of landscaping and tree planting works across development sites.
- Monitoring compliance with permit conditions and maintenance requirements.
- Assessing landscaping documentation, quality control records and maintenance plans.
- Working closely with developers, contractors and internal stakeholders to achieve high-quality landscape outcomes.

A BIT ABOUT YOU: You're passionate about trees, landscapes and creating attractive, sustainable communities. You bring experience or qualifications in horticulture, landscaping, arboriculture or a related field, along with the ability to interpret landscape plans and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.

Highly organised and customer focused, you're equally comfortable conducting site inspections, managing documentation and building positive relationships with developers, contractors and community members.
