Coastline Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lending Analyst to join our Credit team based on the Mid North Coast, NSW. This pivotal role within our banking operations plays a key part in assessing credit risk, evaluating loan applications, and supporting our lending portfolio management.

The Lending

Analyst position is essential to maintaining the quality and integrity of our lending decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards whilst supporting the growth of our customer base.

Key responsibilities

- Analyse loan applications and credit requests, reviewing financial statements, collateral valuations, and borrower information to assess creditworthiness and risk
- Prepare comprehensive credit assessments and recommendations, supporting lending decisions with detailed analysis and risk evaluation
- Monitor and review existing loan portfolios to identify potential credit risks and deteriorating accounts
- Gather and verify documentation required for loan processing, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to approval
- Conduct financial analysis including cash flow assessments, debt service coverage ratios, and profitability evaluations
- Liaise with customers, brokers,



and internal teams to obtain additional information and clarify loan requirements
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with banking regulations and internal policies
- Support the development and maintenance of credit policies, procedures, and lending guidelines
- Assist with regulatory compliance and reporting requirements related to credit assessment and risk management

What we're looking for

- Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline
- 2-4 years' experience in credit analysis, lending, or financial analysis within banking/financial services environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and banking software systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large volumes of data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies and lending best practices
- Familiarity with relevant banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Professional certifications such as Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or relevant banking credentials would be ideal
