About the role

We are seeking a Local HR Driver to join our team based in Raceview, Brisbane. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a needs-basis within the local Brisbane area. As a Local HR Driver, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient delivery of goods to customers whilst maintaining professional standards and representing WILLETT TRANS LOGISTICS positively.

This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive timely and reliable service across the Brisbane region. You will be based out of our Raceview facility and will primarily operate local routes.

What you'll be doing

- Operating a vehicle to transport goods safely and efficiently within the local Brisbane area
- Following planned routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time service delivery
- Conducting pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Handling and securing cargo appropriately in accordance with transport regulations and company procedures
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage and other relevant documentation
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional communication with clients




- Complying with all relevant road transport legislation, including safe driving practices and speed limits
- Reporting any vehicle defects or issues to management promptly
- Supporting the broader logistics team to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for

- Valid Australian driving licence appropriate for the vehicle you will be operating
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence or equivalent classification
- A clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Proven experience as a driver in the transport or logistics industry
- Knowledge of Brisbane local area roads and suburbs
- Robust understanding of road safety and transport legislation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Professional communication skills and ability to interact positively with customers
- Physical fitness and capability to assist with loading/unloading of goods as required
- Reliability and commitment to punctuality
- Working National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
