Bunbury Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school catering for approximately 960 students in Years 7 to 12. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Maintenance and Grounds Person to join our Property Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining high-quality facilities and grounds and enjoys working within a supportive school community.

Reporting to the Property Services Manager, the successful applicant will play an important role in ensuring that College buildings, grounds, equipment and reticulation systems are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and welcoming setting for students, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

- Management and maintenance of the College reticulation system
- General maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment
- Responding to maintenance requests and prioritising tasks
- Assisting with the upkeep of lawns, ovals and landscaped areas
- Maintaining maintenance records and ordering required supplies
- Supporting College events through equipment set-up and transport
- Upholding Work Health and Safety standards across all duties

Essential Criteria





- Experience in the maintenance and repair of reticulation systems
- Experience in building, grounds and general maintenance
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Sound computer skills
- Current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence

Desirable

- Experience operating and maintaining grounds and gardening equipment
- Trade qualifications in groundskeeping, landscaping, turf management, reticulation or a related field
- Current Western Australian MR Driver's Licence

Applicants Must

- Support the Catholic ethos of Bunbury Catholic College
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Working with Children Check
- Hold a current WA Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or be eligible to obtain one)
- Successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and baseline hearing check
